A fictional event celebrating local, small, craft business and the makers that supply these stores with all of their goods. Much like Design Week Portland, the event would span multiple days in Portland, OR and have various locations throughout the city. The purpose of the event would be to raise awareness of local product and purveyors, attend workshops, artist lecture series, meet the owners and of course buy the product.
In order to have an effective and impactful event branding I created a logo, tagline, guerrilla as well as traditional campaign concept, icons, maps and posters. The logo is meant to be easy to read and approachable, while also showcasing a bit of a DIY aesthetic, much like the products sold in local shops. I used this visual approach for most of the branding and the actual brand book itself.
The name Of A Kind is a nod to something being one of a kind. A unique treasure that was specially crafted by an artist or designer, therefore having more meaning and quality.
